Anyone can try an internship at Shiramizu, which is essentially learning karate while experiencing how Shiramizu runs its classes, branch locations and events. A standard length of time would be several weeks to 3 months. Requirements; 1. Valid visa (i.e. tourist visa; no dojo sponsorship) 2. Some karate experience already 3. Ability to cover all expenses while in Japan. 4. Internship must be a priority over sightseeing 5. Write a report in the final week. To apply, email karateintern at gmail dot com .

About this blog
From 2005-2011, Shiramizu Karate Club ran a one year internship program for non-Japanese and this blog listed the weekly activities from 2007 onwards.
From 2012, it will be periodically updated as the dojo gets new overseas visitors and short-term interns.
Shiramizu is located in Sugito City, Saitama Prefecture, Japan.
The main contributors are non-Japanese actively involved in the club.
